Music one of my favorite things in life, so naturally, I like to talk about it. A LOT. And I listen to rock (well, mostly anyway), things like Nirvana, Dead Milkmen, the Cramps, etc. Most people like rap, “Alternative rock” (I’m using the term “rock” VERY lightly), and well, obvously, pop music. Well these discussions get a bit… heated, and I am sort of to blame, but, then again, they did ask my opinion. Well, anyway, you don’t make too many friends by arguing, so I TRY to not be rude and arrogant about it, (and if you know me well, you will know how difficult it is for me), and that would work in a NORMAL society, but, in a high school, things are always taken too seriously. Maybe I should only talk about music with my friends…

These are the people who didn’t quite make it on my list of favorite teachers.
Mr. Conenberg
He was cool. he taught history at Lathrop, but now is at Manteca High. We did projects after every chapter and normally they were fun, but he was kind of mean sometimes.
Mrs. Bartolomei
She was cool too, and we didn’t get much homework. But she had a short fuse, sorry.
Mr. Cook
He was nice, and was resonable. The problem is I didn’t know him very well.
Mr. Mackey
He teaches Science at Lathrop. He was nice in Seventh Grade, but in Eigth grade he turned evil. We ran the mile every day for two months straight. I don’t think so!
Well that’s everyone! I hope I didn’t hurt any feelings by not putting someone on the list, but if I didn’t, that’s why.

10. Mr. Mulidor
My band teacher. He taught me how to play the trumpet. He was always very nice but reasonable. He teaches at Lathrop Elementary and led them to seven years (and counting!) of victories at the Lathrop Christmas parade, two of which I participated in!
9. Mr. Bugarin
My fifth grade teacher. He was fun and energetic, and his class was never dull. He taught us that school was a team effort, and cooperation was vital to success. He teaches at Lathrop elementary.
8. Mr. Bakmas
He was my third grade teacher. He was one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. We did many projects and got to keep most of them. He teaches at Stella Brockman.
7. Mr. Hejnal
He was my math teacher in 7th grade. I can’t say where he teaches because he is in the witness protection program, but most of those who know me will know where. He always kept class fast-paced and exciting. You couldn’t not pay attention ( mostly because if you didn’t he would throw a plastic pencil cup at the wall (no really, that actually happened once)).
6. Mr. Shen
8th grade history for like two months. He was a very good teacher. He taught at Veritas and he probably would have been higher if he hadn’t retired in the middle of the year. Sorry to those who think he should be higher on the list but i didn’t know him very well.
5. Mrs. Vermeulen
8th grade science teacher. Taught me how to blog. If I hadn’t met her, You wouldn’t be reading this ! She works at French Camp(?). Visit her on the web at http://vermeulenblog.wordpress.com.
4. Mrs. Salcedo
7th grade English teacher. Made me realize that English was my strong point. She had us do many essays. She is currently running for Lathrop city council, but she used to teach at Lathrop Elementary.
3. Mrs. Bennet
8th grade history. She taught me that I could do the work if I set my mind to it. However, she was a bit too nice (it seemed false, like… Proffessor Umbridge from Harry Potter, just not evil.).
2. Mrs. Ryan
Proved that English is the most simple of languages. Helped me to get into Honor’s English. Encouraged me to get the job done because I can. Teaches at Veritas Elementary (7th & 8th grade English). Visit her on the web at http://penguinizedvw.wordpress.com.
1. Ms. Gratonik
My all time favorite teacher! 6th grade teacher. She is the teacher that encouraged me to get it done the most! She gave the most interesting lectures. She was strange: if you didn’t pay attention she… um…… barked at you, if you didn’t do your classwork or were daydreaming during a lecture she would gently tap you on the head. She teaches at Lathrop Elementary.
Well! that was my list! Man are my fingers sore! If anyone on the list is reading this: THANKS FOR THE HELP, SUPPORT, and ENCOURAGEMENT!!!
